A patented process for applying images to pre-coated metal.
|
Gardners have worked with Corus to develop a number of coated steel and aluminium bases for use with this process. The method uses transfer technology where the ink is printed onto a carrier film and transferred at high temperature to the base material. The result is that the image is gassed into the material giving great advantages.
As no inks are involved the product maintains its zero fire rating and can be used in sensitive areas where ceramics and vitreous enamel are only permitted. Images are not printed directly onto the material therefor the quality that can be achieved is quite amazing.
Certain materials have a UV inhibitor in the coating and can therefore be used outside without fading in the sun.
